01 - Sleeper

I'd like to wake up and run around

A place that I've never been

In a beautiful picture of a land

Held in heart, but not in hand

I'd like to close my eyes and pretend

I'm somewhere better than I really am

The things I can't do, act like I can

And never see this place again

02 - Better Days

On a screen which brings to me

Things, in life that I'd never see

Smart and dumb and edgy

Creations come to life

Where eccentrics find a place

Connecting from afar

Drawn together and held in place

Through cable, by heart

Song and art and video

Created, all, ex-nihilo

Countless would all come to be

And many more from those

But one day it went away

The magic spark inside

Everything I knew once

Ever since, has died

So forgotten and derelict

Obscurities reside

Those which once conveyed electronic verve

Are now ghosts of better times

03 - Friends

What will happen after

When the sleeper falls awake?

Will we go away

Into that vast, starless blank?

And what will happen to our names

When we fade away?

Hurtling towards the end

And beginning of an age

Nightmares in the hills

Their shade laid at the base

Staring from afar

At our shadows' dying face

Out from under years of tar

Reaches their half-drawn arms

Wondering to themselves

Just what they really are

And the worst part isn't that they're alone

'Cuz that really isn't true, they know

And it isn't that we forgot to care

We forgot they were there at all

But that's not the end

Because they're still in my head

And as long as I'm here

I've got company to spare

04 - Drifting

Hateful

In sorrow

Despite how

I'm sorry

Hollow

Crestfallen

But hopeful

We'll meet again
